Norway as the Happiest Country in the World

Able to shift Denmark from the first position in 2017

The happiest countries in the world are present in various places, and as a reference for the majority of travelers who choose a holiday destination this year, and the question for many people.

"As to whether the situation in the countries of the happiest?"

Such is reviewed in an article on the site CNN Indonesia, March 20, in the report 'World Happiness Report 2017' of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), a global initiative launched by the United Nations (UN) since 2012.

This time Norway ranks first as the happiest country, reported by Reuters on Monday, March 20, this election is the happiest country among 155 countries in the world, because the government managed to build social stability and equality which then increases the welfare of the population.

Of course it takes some criteria in preparing the report, SDSN do so based on six factors, namely the gross income per capita, healthy life expectancy, freedom, generosity and social life of the population as well as action cases of corruption in the industry and government.

Jeffrey Sachs, Director SDSN, who is also a special adviser to the UN Secretary General said that the first consideration is certainly related health and social life of its inhabitants.

"The state is happy is a state of health and social life of residents awake, there is no gap, thus making the government more confidence to develop the country."

Ten countries that are in the best ranking, are Iceland, Switzerland, Finland, the Netherlands, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Sweden.

Other countries such as Germany, are outside the top ten, in 16th position, the British in 19th position, France at No. 31 and the United States (US) in the 14th position.

While Indonesia is in position 81, after Pakistan and before Venezuela.

Other countries that are in the order of ten bottom, among others such as Yemen, South Sudan, Liberia, Guinea, Togo, Rwanda, Syria, Tanzania, Burundi and Central Africa.

For the record Sachs said that the US position down from the previous year due to factors of political drama in the country. And draw attention to the steps the United Arab Emirates with the minister in charge of happiness.

"Other countries may be able to follow the United Arab Emirates has the Minister of Happiness to improve the welfare of the population."
